Congratulations to Yanghao Fang (Harry), for successfully defending his Doctoral thesis. He becomes the second PhD from the Thevamaran Lab. Prof. Thevamaran hands out a string art illustration of Harry’s latest finding–a damping-induced revelation of a hidden eigenmode and its unusual enhancement with increasing damping. This study is now being published in the Physical Review Applied.
