Professor Thevamaran has been selected as the recipient for the College of Engineering Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring-Associate Professor. He was nominated by his students and colleagues because of the outstanding ways he supports students in and out of the lab, and the ways that he contribute to a strong community in our department. These awards were decided by members of the College of Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Council. The students on GSAC were particularly impressed with his commitment to building a lab culture that is intellectually rigorous and welcoming, supportive, and non-intimidating.
